Protecting the Health of the Liver
The organ that is most burdened by toxins, pollutants and synthetic products is the LIVER. The liver begins to malfunction and in some cases, there is medical evidence of scarring. Early signs are weight gain, hormonal stress, emotional upheavals, sluggish body, sleep problems, headaches and more.
Synthetic drugs, microwaved food, environmental and indoor pollution, food additives, metals, pesticides, are some of the things that become quite complex for the LIVER to deal with. It takes commitment to improve the condition of the LIVER. If you have not done a Liver Cleanse before, you might want to consider the approach that my friend did. As you may know, SPRING is Liver/gallbladder season.
Balancing a Liver Cleanse Program
A client of Dr. Young's had abused his liver and has not been regular with Spring Cleaning.
The choice he made was to do the 5-Day Nutritive Cleanse first: includes Balance Complete, Digest + Cleanse, NingXia Red beverage.
On his own, he added Essential Enzyme and Comfortone. His goal was to bring down his blood pressure and to ease his body through a 5-day Nutritive cleanse. This approach is not extreme but helps to rid the body of inflammation, hypertension, discharge excess in the body and improve elimination.

Possible Effects of Coffee and Chemicals on the Liver
Have you head about the brown drinks and the effects on the Liver? The brown drinks include coffee, tea, colas, and chocolate. These common beverages contain different types of chemicals capable of injuring the human body, the best known class fall in the category of methylxanthines. (Methylxanthines are a purine base found in most human body tissues and fluids and in other organisms. A number of mild stimulants are derived from methylxanthines, including caffeine.

When I mention 'coffee' we could justifiably substitute one of the others--chocolate, cola nuts, cocoa bean, some teas and over-the-counter pills. There are widespread extending effects from scalp to sole.
Caffeine and Potential Inflammation in the Body
It is believed that caffeine and other methyxanthines are converted into uric acid in the body. Uric acid is the substance causing gout, arthritis and inflammation. Caffeine and its by products are capable of interfering with laboratory determination of the uric acid level in the blood and may actually cause a missed diagnosis of gout because of a false low reading of uric acid. Coffee can deceive the laboratory.
Coffee or medication containing caffeine can be felt for about four hours. Some of the more immediate effects are imperfect balance, racing of the heart, insomnia, brain fog, fatigue, sleep disturbance, affects the fetus, the delivery process and affects the health of the new born.
The Culture of Coffee Drinking
I once heard a mother say that she gives her children coffee and many mothers in South America also do this. It has been said, that the habit of coffee drinking of the youth in this country has affected the progress of the children and their spiritual awareness as well as physical health. Many of those in Arabic Countries also have a long history of drinking strong coffee. Some people suspect that those who drink coffee regularly have hot and critical temperaments.
Caffeine is classified as one of the most popular mind-affecting drugs in the United States. As I travel, I often stop for gas at gas stations and see trucks drivers stocking up on caffeinated soft drinks and stay-awake pills that contain as much as 110 milligrams of caffeine per tablet and are offered for sale next to the cash register. It is not a comfort to me, knowing that they are driving a large piece of machinery down the highway.
Caffeine and Women's Health
One cup of coffee stimulates all portions of the cerebral cortex. Women who drink only one cup of coffee per day have almost three times greater risk of getting bladder cancer than abstainers. The caffeine factor increases the likelihood of breasts cysts, fibrous tumors, and nodules.
Besides the caffeine in chocolate, an alkalizing product is added to further darken the cocoa along with FDA approved 120 insect fragments per 8 ounces, or two rodent hairs per cup. A Hershey's chocolate bar could contain one rodent hair and 16 insect parts with the blessing of the FDA. Caffeine stores not only in the liver but in the tissue. It could take a life-time to remove it from the body.

Cleansing the Liver
When the liver is toxic, it makes the mind lethargic and slows the emotions. For those who have liver problems, be careful about the oils used and the amounts. Ease into a liver cleanse.
