How I Found Young Living Oils
I have been a psychotherapist in private practice in Toronto, Ontario for over 30 years focusing on holistic psychotherapy. I originally became interested in alternative health when both my daughter and I developed food and environmental sensitivities in 1986. At that time, I studied ‘Touch for Health’, now often referred to as ‘Energy Medicine’ and learned all 4 levels in order to help myself and my family.  

In 1997, I was introduced to Young Living Essential Oils. This was the final piece in my healing from almost constant headaches using either M-Grain or a combination of the single oils Lavender and Peppermint, which I continue to carry with me at all times.

One drop of either M-Grain, or a combination of one drop Lavender and Peppermint in the palm of my hand, I rubbed my palms together, and cupped them over my nose and inhaled – and the headache was gone! I knew intuitively that these powerful essential oils had the potential to help both my healing process as well as my family and my clients.

Holistic Healing and Energy Psychology
In 2000, I was introduced to Energy Psychology and studied extensively one method called Energy Diagnostic and Treatment Methods (EDxTM) which works with the meridian system.  

I also became intrigued with combining all these healing modalities, and started to use Young Living essential oils in tandem with all other treatment protocols and the results were quite wonderful.

Today, I use the Young Living essential oils daily for myself and my pets. I have two adult daughters who also use these oils daily, and are building their own Young Living businesses. In addition to my private practice, I have worked part-time since July 2007 with a sexual assault/domestic violence counseling service.  I have integrated the essential oils into my psychotherapy work in both settings. 

I only use Young Living essential oils because they are the absolute best, and the best is what I want for my family, pets, friends and clients. I have many favorite essential oils, and it’s hard to know which ones to talk about.

My entire home and office are filled with Young Living products such as their soaps, ‘Thieves’ household cleaner, shampoo, conditioner, bath gel, creams and ointments. In fact, all my personal care products are from Young Living.  I also have Young Living’s original water filtration system in my house, and am grateful to eat and sleep with clean water. Even the sheets smell like Young Living.

I use the “Feelings Kit” with my clients to help increase self confidence, for anxiety, depression, and trauma.  I use other Young Living essential oils with clients as needed. I continue to offer psychotherapy sessions as well as the Raindrop technique and aromatherapy consultations that include teaching about cleansing using the Young Living products. I also offer workshops to teach people how to use these oils, and how to combine the essential oils with whatever healing work they do.  I continue to teach Energy Psychology as well, in particular the Energy Diagnostic and Treatment Methods, Levels 1 and 2.

Throughout the years of private practice as a psychotherapist and aromatherapist,
I have always sought effective ways to empower clients and students, to help them feel better and make the changes they want with the least amount of struggle or pain.  My passion in my healing practice is to support each individual’s process, to meet each person’s goals for physical, emotional and spiritual healing, to enable each person to feel better and to live with integrity in relation to themselves, in relation to others, and in relation to their community and the world we live in.

Professional Credentials 

I am a Clinical Member of OSP (Ontario Society of Psychotherapists), a Certified Level 2 Trainer and Practitioner of EDxTM (Energy Diagnostic & Treatment Methods),a Certified Clinical Aromatherapist with extensive training in the use of therapeutic-grade essential oils, a Certified Raindrop Technique Practitioner, Level 4 training in Touch for Health (TFH) as well as training in advanced EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), and Clinical Hypnosis. My original psychotherapy training is in Redecision Therapy which is a combination of Transactional Analysis, Gestalt and body work
